God Eater Burst

A silent hero/heroine invited by the Director of Fenrir Far East Branch. A member of the 1st Unit and later became a Leader by succeeding the Storm Baptism Mission.

The Protagonist climbs the ranks during the game, from Recruit to Lieutenant. Indeed, he/she is renowned as being exemplar Leader material, and is well liked by those in his/her Unit and outside of it. However, the protagonist isn't infallible either- he/she learns a lot in the course of the game about being an authority figure and how it affects others.

The Protagonist also possesses the power of Resonance- the ability to see the memories and experiences of others, only shared by New-Type Gods Eaters. This first happens when they visit Alisa in the Sick Bay, reliving the experience of Alisa's parents being killed by a Dyaus Pita. He/She cannot control this ability willingly, though it tends to happen with those they have a connection to.

It is revealed that the protagonist isn't exactly silent (in a notable exception to the usual silent-hero convention) in the final mission of God Eater Burst, as they actually speak to Lindow before destroying the Corrosive Hannibal.

After the main game, the Protagonist is assumed to retain their Leader position, as while Lindow does return to Fenrir, he doesn't take it back.

God Eater 2

A member of special forces "Blood", member of the Blood Unit, who the player plays as. It has not been confirmed whether the protagonist is the same exact protagonist as God Eater Burst or not, however it is unlikely as the new protagonist wears the black armlet of the "Blood Unit" while the original protagonist has the red armlet of the Far East Branch.
